Instructional Labs

GradQuant is dedicated to improving UCR graduate students’ training in quantitative methods. To accomplish our mission, we offer training in probability and statistical inference, statistical software and computing, computer programming, data management, digital humanities, and professional ethics in the management and analysis of data. In the Instructional Labs program, we are directly offering our assistance to UCR faculty and instructors. If you have any courses in which a lab or a practice session would be beneficial to your students’ learning, please use the form below to nominate these courses. We will be in touch with you to discuss how we can implement our collaborative programs.

Example: A graduate-level statistics course is using R, which is a programming language and free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. You think students who don’t know R may struggle in this course. GradQuant can hold weekly classes on this topic for your students and teach them R programming language to support the instruction.
